In honor of National Coffee Day, here are a few facts about coffee.
- Water is the most important ingredient. Bad water equals bad coffee.
- The darker the roast the less caffeine. The bitter taste does not indicate the caffeine content.
- Making a great cup of coffee is cheap. All you need is hot water, beans and a cup. Fancy machines don’t increase the flavor, only convenience.
- Coffee is the second largest traded commodity, second only to crude oil.
